YGO CotW [3/7/11~3/11/11]
Again, my reviewing will be brutal and straight to the point.
There is also a new format I will be doing these in. I shall select 1 Monster, Spell, and Trap to do my review on. Usually, I will not do meta cards such as Pot of Duality or Solemn Warning. Most of my cards will be good under-rated cards. If you have any suggestions on cards I should review, please let me know either by private message or a YGO CotW thread.
With that being said, on with the show!

Morphing Jar
I am going to start this new format off with one of the most under-rated cards in the game, Morphing Jar. For starters, it's limited for a reason and people even build decks around this lone card. In terms of attack/defense, this card is lacking horrendously. It's not meant to stay on the field for very long though (unless you are using an Empty Jar Deck), and it is usually used to add in extra draw power to your deck. It's a good defense for sure, and it blocks one of your opponents attacks while letting you draw. Sure your opponent gets to draw, which is a downside, but in that case, it is no different then when you started the duel and each of you drew 5. The only difference now is it is mid-game. Odds are, if you need to use morphing jar because you are not getting the cards you need, then you are probably at a disadvantage in the current duel and will most likely lose if things continue.
Morphing Jar is that one-turn-turn-around card that I have always appreciated. It changes the state of the game completely and can even disrupt your opponents current strategy. It may not stay on the field for long, but it does one hell of a job turning the game around. For that reason, I think it deserves an

Creature Swap
As far as spells go, one to keep an eye on is Creature Swap. Why Creature Swap you might ask. Well, personally I think it is better than brain control. Let me put it to you like this. Say you have a monster with low attack (a face-up morphing jar anyone?) and is pretty much useless at this point. Creature Swap allows you to give your opponent your attack position monster and take one of theirs and attack the monster you gave them with their own monster (provided they have a monster with higher attack). Is there even a downside to this card? Well, yes. There are downsides to most tournament legal cards.
The downside is that your opponent gets to chose which monster (s)he sends over to you. This card works best when your opponent only has one monster and you want it. Otherwise, you could end up with a monster you do not need. As far as downsides go, that's about it. You have to give up your own monster, but you can easily turn that into a plus.
All in all, I think this card deserves it's shining time. I easily give this card a

Trap
- Spoiler:
Seven Tools of the Bandit
A trap that saves you from other various threats is no over-looked fact. Cards such as solemn warning, solemn judgment, and magic drain would fit in the same category, as well as dark bribe. This card does so much at such a little cost. The only downside is that it is a trap and is only useful against trap, as well as the 1,000 Lifepoint cost. That's worth what you get out of it though.
So many traps that could otherwise hurt you immensely (such as mirror force, Solemn Warning, Solemn Judgement, Torrential Tribute, Bottomless Trap Hole, ect...) can be taken care of simply and easily. It is definitely a game changing card that gets overlooked a lot of times when it shouldn't. It allows you to make big plays when needed, and keeps you well protected. It's also a counter trap, meaning it is the fastest spell speed (spell speed 3).
This cards speed and the fact that when you top deck it it will not help hurt you though. Drawing it when it is not needed may prove troublesome, but all in all I give it a

I always get people critisizing this in my Flamvells. I love the refresh I get; especially since I can dump a hand full of Flamvells and usually get one of my 3 Rekindling.

Creature Swap is amazing to use with recruiters, too. Swap your Sangan, Reptilianne Gardna, Flamvell Poun, Mystic Tomato, Shining Angel, Nova Summoner, etc. and use your opponent's monster to give yourself a free search.

Great review. I'm surprised 7-tools got the lowest and not highest rating, but good job

Re: YGO CotW [3/7/11~3/11/11]
Thank you very much. Again, my reviews are harsh and they are the way they are because a lot of cards lack universal usage.
Thank you for all the positive remarks. Feel free to post negative ones as well (as long as they are done in a mature manner).
Thank you for all the support. If you guys have anything you think I should add or a card I should review for next week feel free to tell me.

Glad you like it. Hope you like the format as well. Also, do check in the site suggestion area in the staff forum. I did mention something that would help this thread (spoiler boxes)
